The summertime offers the perfect opportunity to get outside and have fun in the sun.
If you haven't managed to enjoy a social event outside yet, there is still time.
Hopefully, your provision of shelter won't be needed for rain rather than the sun.
Chaucer House care home to threw a celebration party for staff, residents and their families for Midsummer's Day last month.
The Midsummer party was held to thank the staff for their dedication and excellent care delivery towards the residents at Chaucer House, and to congratulate the staff for their team effort in receiving a ‘good’ CQC (Care Quality Commission) rating across all five domains of their inspection in February. Care home family events are a lovely time to show your gratitude to staff and volunteers alike.
The party also brought residents and their families together for fun and entertainment for all ages. There was live music on the day from the popular singer Debbie Haze, who sang her way through several music genres and classics over the years.
Likewise, events such as these can involve the wider community.
Chaucer House welcomed the Sheriff and Consort who supported the event, engaging with staff residents and their families, as well as some Canterbury Cricket club team members who visited and donated a signed cricket bat for the homes next raffle event.
