Puddingstone Grange residents benefit from Plumstead Co-op Local Community Fund

Each year, the Co-op asks charities to apply for the Co-op Local Community Fund which supports community projects across the UK. Three local charities are selected at each participating Co-op, and over the course of a year, the Co-op raises vital funds for all three.

For every pound spent by members on Co-op branded products and services using their Co-op membership cards, 2p goes to the community fund project.

This year Puddingstone Grange care home are celebrating, having received £4110.29 from the Co-op in Plumstead towards the residents' amenities fund.

Pauline Hill, Activities Coordinator at Puddingstone Grange, applied for the fund and was delighted when she learned the Co-op had chosen Puddingstone Grange for a second consecutive year for the Co-op community fund.

Pauline explained The staff and customers at the Co-op in Plumstead have been great supporters of Puddingstone Grange and the care work we do."

On Saturday 4th December, Pauline accompanied residents Keith, Mary and Joyce, with a visit to the Plumstead Co-op to thank them for their kind and generous fundraising!

"It was great to be treated like royalty on our visit and to be welcomed with soup and scones! Thank you to everyone who raised such a large sum of money for the residents at Puddingstone Grange!

We will meet with all the residents to see how they would like to spend the money." said Pauline.
