A wonderful weekend of celebrations to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee was enjoyed by staff and residents at Ferrers Hall Care Home.
Residents spent the week making decorations and getting their home ready for the big weekend of celebrations. They enjoyed making crowns, bunting and banners, and reminiscing about royal events and celebrations over the years.
The Country Court care home, based in Huntingdon, hosted a fantastic garden party for families and residents complete with entertainment, singing and dancing.
Chef Manager, Billal West and his team created a fantastic afternoon tea for residents and family members and friends joined in to mark 70 years of Her Majesty's reign.
“It was wonderful to see the home full of families and visitors”, said Home Manager, Susan Dunnell. “We had a great time celebrating with people from the village coming to join us too. Our residents were delighted to see so many people celebrating with them.
They thoroughly enjoyed singing and dancing with their loved ones”.
Thanking staff for their hard work, one family member commented “Well done to you all for making a great celebration for Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee. Your residents are so fortunate to be in your wonderful care.”
