As the nation came together to watch and celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla care home communities were supported to join be part of the historical event and enjoy the celebrations.

As part of their care home Coronation activities, residents and staff across Avante Care & Support care homes held Coronation street parties, while others enjoyed a BBQ and tea dances which were a few of the events planned across the care homes to celebrate over the bank holiday weekend.

The Coronation was streamed in all lounges, at some of the homes large cinema screens were used.

Some residents were supported to visit local street and garden parties they had been invited to, enabling them to engage and interact with others outside of the care home setting.
