Win married her husband Harold in October 1941 and has one son, Peter who is married to Margaret.

Winifred, known as Win, was born on 9th March 1920 and has lived at the Huntington Care Home since September 2018. Win says her secrets to her long life is happiness, good genes, family and friends.

Home Manager Susan Dunnell said, “We wish Win a very happy 102nd Birthday from everyone here at Ferrars Hall. Win is a wonderful and much-loved member of our Ferrars Hall family, she loves spending time with her friends playing carpet bowls, knitting and sewing. It was lovely to see her enjoying her special day”.

Staff held an afternoon tea party for Win complete with balloon arch and cake baked by Chef Manager Bill West. Win was joined by her family and had a lovely time opening her cards and gifts. She also enjoyed a game of birthday bingo with her friends at the party.
